Salford Royal Choir

Founded in 1977
Welcome to our web site.
It is with great pleasure that we can announce that we can start rehearsing again, two years, almost to the day, since we last met. Our rehearsal room at Salford Royal is still in use for Covid vaccinations, but we have managed to find alternative temporary accommodation. We start rehearsals at Monton Methodist Church, Eccles, on Thursday 17th March, at 7:30pm.

Our first rehearsal since Covid restrictions were lifted, almost two years to the day. Unfortunately not everyone could attend, but we did have three newcomers, which was encouraging. Despite having that long break, we were all in fine voice!
A few years ago, we decided to change our name from 'Salford Hospitals' Choir' to 'Salford Royal Choir' to reflect the new Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust image. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, this was not possible. So, to fulfil our legal obligations, we are known as Salford Hospitals' Choir, and for performing purposes, Salford Royal Choir.
Rehearsals are normally in the Frank Rifkin Lecture Theatre, The Mayo Building, Salford Royal, Stott Lane, Salford, on Thursdays at 7:30pm.
Hope to return there soon.
